PART 1
Introduction
During the introduction, the assessors of SCOPATSKY will introduce themselves and explain how the assessment will work.
PART 2
Theoretical R/T-test
+- 15 minutes
The theoretical R/T-test is a written test (VFR, or IFR) containing 20 multiple choice questions. The VFR, or IFR R/T-test will test some, but not limited to, of the following aspects: ICAO – alphabet and numbers, description of traffic patterns and airspace structures, priority of messages (distress, urgency, etc.), readability scale, call sign policies, use of transponder and codes, dealing with unusual situations and pressure settings. A minimum of 75 % must be obtained to pass the SCOPATSKY theoretical R/T-test (VFR/IFR).
PART 3
Scenario-based R/T-test
10 minutes
The scenario-based R/T-test (VFR, or IFR) will last a minimum of 10 minutes and must be recorded. The VFR, or IFR scenario-based R/T-test will simulate an actual flight from start-up until shut-down in which the candidate will simulate the pilot while the Operational Assessor will simulate all the necessary radio-frequencies. The test will also simulate emergencies and unexpected turn of events. A minimum of level 4 on all 6 holistic descriptors must be obtained to pass the SCOPATSKY scenario-based R/T-test (VFR/IFR).
PART 4
Assessment of aviation related and plain language proficiency
10 minutes
The assessment of aviation related and plain language proficiency will last a minimum of 10 minutes and must be recorded. The assessment is an interview in which both assessors
will assess the reading and communication capabilities of the candidate as a pilot through a personal and human conversation. A minimum of level 4 on all 6 holistic descriptors
must be obtained to pass the SCOPATSKY assessment of aviation related and plain language proficiency.

Final grading
Both assessors will establish a final grading after the assessment. The final result will be based upon these holistic descriptors:

About the ELP-certificates
We are approved to issue the following proficiency levels:
Level 4 (Operational Level)
Valid for 4 years
Level 5 (Extended Level)
Valid for 6 years
Level 6 (Expert Level)
Unlimited
When do you get the ELP-certificate?
After passing the assessment, you will immediately receive an official ELP-certificate.
Where can you take the ELP-assessment?
SCOPATSKY has four fixed locations in Belgium. We are also approved to perform the assessment completely online or at any other location. When you book the assessment you can select the location and method of your preference.
